I strongly oppose any attempt to further extend Human Rights. Criminals have rights, terrorists have rights. But victims and ordinary law-abiding citizens have no rights - the right to defend themselves or the right to live free from fear. What we need is a Bill of Duties in which every citizen is held accountable to their community for their actions - for their sectarianism, for their racism, for waste, for their multitude of inconsiderate words and deeds to others.
Parents take no responsibility for their children, Government is financially and morally corrupt and religions modify their beliefs to suit popular opinion. Let’s re-establish a template for living - you don’t do that by asserting ‘rights’. You do it by fulfilling ‘duties’.
